FPV drone motors are one of the most important components in any build, directly affecting thrust, efficiency, and overall flight performance. Choosing the right motor means matching the KV rating, stator size, and weight to your frame and battery setup. At FPVdrones.eu, we stock brushless motors for every FPV application, from lightweight 1102 motors for micro whoops to powerful 2306 and 2207 motors for 5-inch freestyle and racing drones.

Frequently asked questions

What KV rating do I need for my drone?
KV indicates how many RPM a motor spins per volt with no load. Larger propellers (5-7 inch) need a lower KV (900-1700KV), while smaller propellers (2-3 inch) need a higher KV (2400KV+). Lower KV delivers more torque; higher KV delivers more speed.

Are 2207 and 2306 motors interchangeable?
The numbers refer to stator diameter and height in millimeters. 2207 and 2306 are close in size and both commonly fit 5-inch frames, but the screw hole pattern and weight can differ — always check your frame's specification.

How do I match a motor to my battery voltage?
Motor KV multiplied by battery voltage gives you the approximate no-load RPM. 4S-6S batteries are typically paired with 1700-2400KV motors, while 6S and higher setups use lower KV motors.

Why are my motors overheating?
Common causes include an oversized propeller for the motor, incorrect PID tuning, low-quality bearings, or an ESC-motor mismatch. Check your Betaflight motor temperature logs to diagnose the issue.
